18th-19th of November
We’re mixing things up this time and trying out our first new writing scratch event, which we’ve dubbed Y-Robots. A series of rehearsed readings of new writing about robots. After each play is read there will be an opportunity for the audience to discuss each piece, with its writer, chaired by professional dramaturg Amy Bethan Evans.
There will be three different pieces read each day. Saturday will feature Scattered by Linda Morse, The Deadhand Boradcast by David Lewis and Osbert by Rupert Bathurst. Sunday’s plays are 7000 Robots by Helen Anderson and Peter Kimball-Evans, Robotnik by Sophie Drewery and Libby’s Eyes by Amy Bethan Evans. That’s a lot of robot sci-fi. We’re excited and hope to see you then.
This event is sponsored by our friends from The Steam Rollers Adventure Podcast, who have donated a copy of Clockwork Looking Glass by Steampunk Author Michael J. Rigg to our best dressed competition.
